Brigl & Bergmeister to Increase Paper Prices

Brigl & Bergmeister, Niklasdorf, Austria, a producer of one-side coated papers for labels and flexible packaging, this week announced a sales price increase of between 5% and 7 %, depending on the grade, for deliveries beginning July 1. The company noted that the increase is necessary "to compensate for the extraordinarily high cost increases in raw materials, energy, and freight." It added that "despite very high capacity utilization, the margins of the industry have reached unacceptably low levels."
