PT Suparma Orders Andritz Wastepaper Drum Pulping System

PT Suparma, Surabaya, Indonesia, has ordered from Andritz, Graz, Austria, a new FibreFlow drum pulper for the rebuild of its existing wastepaper pulping system. Startup is scheduled for the end of this year.
The ANDRITZ FibreFlow drum pulper slushes and separates coarse contaminants for all kinds of recovered paper, providing high production capacity and better fiber yield. The unit for PT Suparma will have a capacity of 350 metric tpd based on a mix of 80% LOCC (local old corrugated containers) and 20% AOCC (American old corrugated containers). ANDRITZ's scope of supply also includes engineering, erection supervision, startup, training, and a spare and wear parts package.
PT Suparma supplies paperboard and laminated wrapping kraft and tissue paper for the Asian market, also exporting to Australia and Africa. The company produces 190,000 metric tpy of paper.
