Join us on Thursday, September 26, at 1:00p.m. EDT as Thanh Trung, VP of Technology for FITNIR Analyzers Inc., presents a free webinar on Advanced Online Process Analyzers for Pulp Mill Control.
With increasing competition worldwide, pulp and paper manufacturers, particularly those in North America, require greater emphasis on cost reduction and increased efficiency and product quality. Optimization must also focus on minimizing chemical and energy consumption, particularly for those mills that could utilize the excess steam to drive a turbine for electrical generation, allowing for diversification of the revenue stream. To this end, process measurements and control play an important and critical role.
In the late-1990s and mid-2000s, Fourier-Transform Near Infrared (FT-NIR) technology was extensively tested and is now a well proven and accepted technology for online analyzer for measurements of true liquor compositions of various pulping process streams. These online FT-NIR process liquor analyzers have shown excellent up-time while requiring minimal maintenance requirements.
In this webinar, we will briefly review the technology and give further details on economic impacts achieved through the installation of rugged process online FT-NIR analyzers when coupled with advanced process control strategies.
