This past May, Papierfabrik Adolf Jass GmbH & Co. KG in Fulda, Germany, put the first Voith (Germany) IntensaMaXX detrashing machine into operation in its stock preparation line. Dr.Marietta Jass-Teichmann, CEO of Papierfabrik, notes that "since then, it has been running to our complete satisfaction. The capacity is extraordinarily good. For that reason we have also been using a second IntensaMaXX for disposal since the beginning of August."An eccentric and asymmetrical enclosure prevents spinning and every type of tail formation in the IntensaMaXX so that even a very high contaminant content does not cause problems during operation. As the contaminant discharge is oriented downward, it facilitates reliable removal of heavy contaminants such as screws and stones. The rotor and screen plate are attached to the top of the machine, to minimize wear.
IntensaMaXX works with high throughput and a low maintenance outlay, Voith notes. Along with the high level of operational reliability, other costs can be reduced since considerably less energy is consumed than is typical with detrashing machines. Typically, the investment in the machine is amortized in noticeably less than a year, the company adds. .
Voith reports that more than 30 IntensaMaXX detrashing machines have already been sold and installed worldwide.
