Shreyans Industries to Install Intelli-Jet Headbox as Part of P&W Paper Machine Rebuild

Shreyans Industries, a producer of printing and writing papers located in the Ahmedgarh, in the Sangrur district of India, has ordered from PMP Group, Poland, an Intelli-Jet V® hydraulic headbox as part of an upgrade to the mill’s paper machine. The mill current production capacity is up to 35 000 metric tpy.

The mill’s goal in the rebuild is to increase paper machine speed up to 750 m/min. and its annual production up to 50,000 metric tons. The new headbox is expected to improve paper quality and enable operation at higher machine speeds.

The PMP Intelli-Jet V hydraulic headbox is characterized by operational friendly construction and stainless long-term durability. The headbox will be about 3,100 mm wide and equipped with a consistency profiling system, which assures control over the basis weight, resulting uniform paper web structure, and better CD basis weight profile. The Intelli-Jet V hydraulic headbox will be equipped with four rows of headbox tubes.

Delivery of the PMP Intelli-Jet V hydraulic headbox is scheduled on the first half of 2014. In addition, PMP will supervise the assembly process and the startup of the hydraulic unit.
