Michael Rakocy was born in Youngstown, Ohio, USA, on Sept. 17, 1953, where he was a 1980 graduate of Youngstown State University. Employed as a district manager for Babcock & Wilcox overseeing the Akron Sales and Service Division, Michael became a TAPPI member in 1996 and was a member of the engineering organization ASME since 2005.
