U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Increase

Total Kraft paper shipments in the U.S. were 125, 500 tons in December 2013, which is 9.4% higher than the prior month, AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) reported in its December 2013 Kraft Paper Report published this week. Bleached kraft paper shipments increased year-over-year 6.2%, but the 2.6% year-over-year decline in unbleached kraft paper shipments was enough to bring overall kraft paper shipments down 1.5% year-over-year.
Total month-end inventories were essentially flat compared with November 2013.
