Sacramento, Calif., USA-based American River Packaging and All West Container of San Francisco are changing their names to PackageOne to align the company under a single identity. American River Packaging started in Sacramento in 1980 and was later purchased by PackageOne and CEO Tom Kandris, who later purchased All West Container in South San Francisco.
The two companies operated under their individual company names until adopting the PackageOne name. In total, the company has more than 240,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space and 111 full-time employees.
"We are very pleased to have a new brand that incorporates all of our people and assets," said Kandris. "We’ve had remarkable growth and continue to lead our industry. With one single name and brand, we can move forward as a collective team ensuring quality, consistency, and innovation."
PackageOne innovation includes sustainable solutions using environmentally friendly inks and paper materials. The company was also first in the U.S. to operate an on-site commercial organic waste conversion facility that turns paper waste into energy.
