U.S. Boxboard Production Rises Slightly

Total U.S. boxboard production increased 1.3% compared with January 2013 and increased 1.0% from last month, the AF&PA reports in its January 2014 U.S. Paperboard Report published this week. Unbleached kraft boxboard production decreased over the same month last year but increased compared with last month.
Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production increased compared with January 2013 but decreased compared with last month. The production of recycled boxboard decreased compared with January 2013 and increased when compared with last month.
