Gould Paper Announces Ocean Paper as New Division

Gould Paper Corp., New York, N.Y., USA, reports that a new division, Ocean Paper, commenced operations on Monday, March 3. The division is headed by Ivy Frimer, a 22-year veteran of the pulp and paper industry. As president of Ocean Paper, Frimer’s capacity will consist of purchasing, sales, warehousing, and distribution of prime and "opportunity" tonnage. Ocean paper is located at Gould Paper’s headquarters in New York.Founded in 1924, Gould Paper has revenues in excess of $1 billion and is one of North America's four largest distributors of printing and business papers. In 2010, Japan Pulp and Paper purchased a 51% ownership position in Gould. With this acquisition, Gould, in concert with JPP, has offices in virtually every major city throughout the world with total revenues in excess of $6 Billion.
