Europac Duen͂as Papel to Install Voith Speedsizer on Testliner Machine at Mill in Spain

Europac Papeles y Cartones de Europa S.A., Spain, has ordered a Voith SpeedSizer applicator unit for PM 2 at its Duen͂as mill in Spain. Startup of the rebuild is scheduled for this May. With the upgrade, PM 2 will be able to produce white coated as well as normal testliner.

Due to an attractive, long-term financing concept, Voith (Germany) was able to provide an additional benefit for Europac. In addition to the SpeedSizer, the scope of supply includes the associated workstation and both a starch and a coating color preparation unit. A new CB-Turn ensures non-contact turning of the web, before it is dried by means of a space-saving combination of infrared dryers and downstream air hood. Non-contact high-performance drying is particularly energy-saving, since the air hood is exclusively heated by waste heat of the infrared dryers. The after-dryer section is to be adapted, with most of the existing parts being reused.
