U.S. Containerboard Production Mixed in February

U.S. containerboard production in February decreased 8% from January, but was 2% higher than the same month last year, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) February 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report released this past week. The month-over-month average daily production increased 1.9%. Shipments for February were 2,692.1 tons, representing 151.7 billion sq. ft.

The containerboard operating rate for February increased 1.8 points from January, from 94.6% to 96.4%.
