Ipek Kagit Orders Valmet Advantage Tissue Line for Mill in Turkey

Ipek Kagit Tissue Paper, Turkey, has selected Valmet, Finland, to supply a new tissue line to be installed at the company's Manisa Plant in Turkey. The new Valmet Advantage DCT 200TS line will play a crucial role in the company's rapid growth in global tissue paper markets. Startup is scheduled for the second half of 2015. The value of the order was not disclosed.

"The new Advantage DCT line will support our vision to become a regional powerhouse, by extending our existing leadership in Kazakhstan and the Caucasus to more than 20 markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia," said. Sertaç Nisli, GM, Ipek Kagit.

The delivery will include a complete tissue production line featuring Valmet stock preparation systems and an Advantage DCT 200TS tissue machine. The machine is equipped with OptiFlo headbox, Advantage ViscoNip press, and a yankee cylinder with an Advantage AirCap hood. Complete engineering, installation supervision, training, startup, and commissioning are also included in the delivery.

The tissue machine will have a width of 5.6 meters and a design speed of 2,200 m/min. The new line will provide high-quality facial, napkin, toilet, and towel grades for consumer and commercial use. The raw material for the new line will be virgin fiber. The production line is optimized to save energy and to enhance final product quality.
