Metsä Raises Tissue Paper Prices

Metsä Tissue, Finland, this week announced that it will increase the prices of its tissue paper products by 8% during the second quarter. The company attributed the price increase to rising cost inflation.Metsä Tissue is a supplier of tissue paper products to households and professional users in Europe, and a global supplier of baking and cooking paper products. The company has 11 production units located in Finland, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, and Sweden, with a total annual paper production capacity of more than 630,000 metric tons, with tissue papers accounting for 600,000 metric tons. It employs some 2,800 people, and has a turnover of EUR 1,000 million. Metsä Tissue is part of the Metsä Group.
