U.S. Boxboard Production Increases

Total U.S. boxboard production increased 1.8% in March, compared with March 2013, and increased 9.3% from last month (February), according to the AF&PA March 2014 U.S. Paperboard Report issued this past week. Unbleached kraft boxboard production increased over the same month last year and increased compared with last month.
Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production increased compared with March 2013 and increased compared with last month. The production of recycled boxboard stayed flat compared with March 2013 but increased when compared with last month.
