According to a report by RISI, Carta Fabril VP José Carlos Coutinho Júnior said that the company invested Real 50 million ($21.8 million) in the new machine that is expected to double the mill’s capacity to about 60,000 metric tpy of tissue. In the report, Coutinho Júnior said that "while Brazil’s economic growth is limited, its tissue consumption is rising at a 6% rate, following other emerging markets."
