In Memoriam: Kenneth A. Marshall

Kenneth Marshall grew up in Warwick, R.I., USA, and was a graduate of Moses Brown Prep School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Rhode Island and was a Member of Phi Gamma Delta.
He was part owner, VP, and plant manager of Case & Risley Press Paper Co., Oneco, Conn., USA, until the plant was sold to Boise Cascade. He worked for Boise Cascade until his retirement. A member of TAPPI since 1957, he was the session chairman of the TAPPI 1986 Polymers, Laminations & Coatings Conference as well as a long time member of PIMA.
Marshall was a member and Past President of the Pomfret Lions Club and founder of Pomfret Lion's Club Charity Ball and was chairman for several years. He enjoyed water sports, boating on Lake Sunapee, N.H., and the nearby Narragansett Bay. He loved water skiing and teaching others to ski. He enjoyed and was an exceptional ballroom dancer (especially with his wife as his partner).
In addition to his wife Marilyn, he leaves his six children: Lynda M.
Johnson of Parsonsburg, MD.; Christine M. Parquette and husband Lawrence
of Putnam, R.I.; Kent A. Marshall and his wife Gail of Chepachet R.I.; Nancy L.
Mullaly Woodis and her husband Bruce of Dayville, R.I.; Scott D. Marshall and
his wife Rosemary of Dayville; and Judith A. Munger of Plainfield, R.I. He
also leaves 17 grandchildren and 22 grandchildren,
nieces, and nephews.
