Lecta, France, the second largest European coated woodfree (CWF) paper producer, this week announced a price increase of 8% in its two-side CWF papers. The company said that the price increase was essential to reach acceptable profit levels after months of continuously eroding profitability.
The price increase will be applied to deliveries of both sheets and reels in the European markets, effective this early September.
The company’s local offices in Europe will be in contact with customers to provide specific information on how the price increase will be applied on a country-by-country basis.
