U.S. Containerboard Output Flat in June

U.S. containerboard production in June was essentially flat compared with both May of this year and June of last year, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) June 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report released this week. The month-over-month average daily production increased 2.5%. Shipments for June were 2,968,400 tons, representing 167.8 billion sq. ft.
The containerboard operating rate for June rose slightly by 0.1 point compared with May, from 97% to 97.1%.
