German P&P Industry Production up 1.4%; Sales of P&P up 0.8%

German pulp and paper manufacturers produced 11.3 million metric tons of products in the first half of 2014, according to the German Pulp and Paper Association. This represents an increase of 1.4% during the same period last year.
Sales of pulp and paper stayed nearly constant, up slightly by 0.8%. In a global comparison, the German paper industry remains No. 4 after China, the U.S., and Japan, as well as No. 1 in Europe.
