Cascades to Hold 50th Anniversary Open House this Weekend

Cascades, Kingsey Falls, Que., Canada, reports that on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, all of the company’s Kingsey Falls units will open their doors to the general public for a special open house event this Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The public is invited to come and discover what goes into manufacturing Cascades products. Visitors will have the chance to tour the Cascades plants and units, and learn more about the basics of recycling, and the production of paper, paperboard, plastic, and more. They will also have the opportunity to visit the cab and trailer of a Cascades truck.
In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of free activities in Kingsey Falls. The exhibitions Support papier from the Collection Loto-Québec, and Dans l'univers de Cascades, by Escalier jaune, are running until September 1, in the Ateliers Marie-Victor and the Kingsey Falls Caisse Desjardins parking lot, respectively. The GENERATIONS exhibition by Boréalis is also on display and open to all at the Salle municipale.
The Lemaire & Brothers general store, with its antiques collection and an abundance of candy from yesteryear, is open to visitors at the Municipal Park's Pavillon des Loisirs. Finally, join Cascades at Parc Bernard-Lemaire on Sunday, for this summer's usual Sunday entertainment. This weekend, celebrate Halloween in August by dressing up: candies and face painting are included.
