September Containerboard Production Edges up in U.S.

September 2014 containerboard production in the U.S. was 3.4% lower than August 2014, on account of the fewer production days, but 4.7% higher than September 2013 and 0.7% higher year-to-date, AF&PA reports in its September 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report published this week. The month-over-month average daily production was flat.
The U.S. containerboard operating rate for September rose to 97.7% from August’s 96.2%.
