Chapelton to Distribute Smurfit Kappa Grease Resistant Board in U.K.

Smurfit Kappa, Ireland, reports that Chapelton, U.K., will distribute its special Grease Guard folding carton board as part of an exclusive distribution deal in the U.K. Grease Guard folding carton board has been specifically designed for packaging that is in direct contact with all food types. It is also recyclable, biodegradable, and compostable, and can be used as an alternative to virgin fiber board with PE lamination.
Produced at Smurfit Kappa’s Hoya mill in Germany, Grease Guard is available in a weight range of 300 gsm to 500 gsm. Designed for food packaging applications, the grade is available full sized for freezer and chiller use, suitable for fatty foods as well as consumer goods, industrial packaging, and pharmaceutical packaging.

Kent-based Chapelton is a £11 million turnover business, operating for 28 years.
