U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Decline

Total U.S. kraft paper shipments in October were 125,200 tons, 1.2% lower than September, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) October 2014 Kraft Paper Report. Bleached kraft paper shipments decreased from 11,400 tons in September to 8,700 tons in October, while unbleached kraft paper shipments increased from 115,300 tons to 116,500 tons.
Overall, shipments for the first 10 months of 2014 were 3.2% lower than the same period last year. Total month-end inventories decreased 15.2% compared with September.
