The TAPPI community is saddened to learn of the passing of lon-time member Mark Driscoll. Although he was raised in Michigan, Mark considered Florida his home since relocating in 1982. Mark was passionate about his work as a mechanical engineer in the paper industry. However, no amount of professional acclaim ever trumped his unflappable devotion to his family.
Mark leaves behind his mother Virginia, his brother John, devoted daughters Heather Dawn Driscoll. (Mike McKenney), Melissa Driscoll Krol (Jeremy Krol), and perhaps his greatest legacy, his grandchildren Jacek James and Annah May Krol of Gambrills, Maryland.
Mark will be remembered for his honesty, superior intelligence and logic, generosity, kindness, forgiveness, and the incredible ability to overcome obstacles without ever losing his optimism and positive attitude. Never known to utter an unkind word, his passing has left a void impossible for any other man to fill.
No formal service is planned. However, memorials may be sent to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola (Pensacola, Fla.).
