U.S. Producers Increase Containerboard Output

According to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report issued this past week, December 2014 containerboard production in the U.S. was 5.3% higher than in November 2014, 6.9% higher than in December 2013, and 1.8% more than in 2013. The month-over-month average daily production was 1.9% higher.
The containerboard operating rate for December increased slightly to 94.7% from November’s 94.3%.
