U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Rise

Total U.S. kraft paper shipments in December 2014 were 128,400 tons, 11.9% higher than in November 2014, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) December 2014 Kraft Paper Report released this past week. Bleached kraft paper shipments increased to 9,700 tons compared with November’s 8,600 tons, while unbleached kraft paper shipments increased from 106,100 tons to 118,700 tons.
Overall, shipments in 2014 were 2.3% lower than in 2013. Total month-end inventories increased to 79,300 tons in December.
