Boxboard Production Declines in U.S.

Total U.S. boxboard production last month (December 2014) decreased 2.6% compared with December 2013 and decreased 3.2% from November 2014, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) December 2014 U.S. Paperboard Report released this past week. Unbleached kraft boxboard production increased over the same month in 2013 but decreased compared with November 2014.
Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production decreased compared with December 2013 and decreased compared with November 2014. The production of recycled boxboard decreased compared with December 2013 and decreased compared with November 2014.
