Resolute Expands Align Eco-conscious Paper Grades

Resolute Forest Products, Montreal, Que., Canada, continues to expand its Align™ brand of environmentally responsible and budget-friendly papers by adding two more superbrite grades—Hybrid and Alternative, to its existing offerings of Ecopaque, Equal Offset, and Resolute Max.
"By expanding our Align ecoconscious product line, Resolute is following through on its sustainable development objectives and providing customers with paper that cuts down their fiber consumption," said John Lafave, SVP, pulp and paper sales and marketing. "These products also save consumers money with no quality tradeoff in the printed product."
Specific grades that were added to the Align umbrella include Hybrid Smooth, Hybrid Vellum, Hybrid Envelope, Alternative Book, Alternative Offset, and Alternative Opaque produced at the company’s Calhoun, Tenn., USA, mill, as well as Alternative Offset and Alternative Book produced at the Alma, Que., mill.
Align’s Hybrid grades are high yield, opaque offset papers used for commercial printing such as comics, direct mail, directories, envelopes, inserts, and manuals.
