TAPPI Centennial Celebration Gala to Entertain, Inform, Delight

 

As TAPPI commences its 100th anniversary year, the highlight will be the Centennial Celebration Gala Dinner on April 20. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Atlanta Convention Center America’s Mart, the Gala promises to be an exciting evening. Attendees will have the opportunity to celebrate the past, present, and future potential of the global pulp, paper, packaging, and related industries while interacting with industry professionals and enjoying dinner and entertainment provided by Juice Studios.

 

As a feature of the night on the main stage, a custom series of scenes complete with media and costume support will take guests through a fun filled journey from the by-gone era of old timey radio shows and into the future.

Between on-stage performances, the cast will be engaging guests directly at their tables through "live television advertisements." Select guests will read lines from cue cards advertising fictional products or make up an ad of their own, while being featured on the event big and small screens. 6:45 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. America’s Mart (Building 2) is a three block walk from the Omni. Continuous shuttle service will be provided from the hotel, M2 level, North Tower (next to Morsel’s Café).

 

7:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Reception (cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres)

 

8:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Seated Dinner and Entertainment

 

10:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. Post Dinner Reception.

The TAPPI Centennial Celebration will feature a year-long series of outreach events and educational offerings showcasing the history of the global pulp, paper, tissue, packaging, and related industries as well as a look into what the future holds. TAPPI’s year-long celebration also includes local PIMA and TAPPI section and student chapter events, a student competition, an online calendar highlighting innovations in the industry each day, and a coffee table book "Celebrating a Century of Achievement."
