The 2015 OpEx Maintenance and Reliability Workshop at PaperCon 2015 on April 21 in Atlanta, Ga., USA, will begin with "keynote" presentations by Tor Idhammar, president of IDCON out of Raleigh, N.C., USA, and John Crowe, ex-CEO of Buckeye Technologies Inc., Memphis, Tenn. Idhammar takes an in-depth look at what "maintenance excellence," functionally is. His presentation then explores how companies and mills can actually achieve maintenance excellence and the many operating benefits it brings.
Crowe, who has a long, distinguished career in the pulp and paper industry from a variety of management positions, looks at how to effectively present the value of a reliability focus to upper management. His presentation examines the "show me the money" aspects of communicating with upper management.
This year’s program includes a total of 11 key presentations—six in the morning and five in the afternoon. The afternoon portion of the program includes a technology session with papers on bearing monitoring, craft skills training, and roll maintenance and modernization.
