Marking another milestone in its brief history as a standalone company, Solenis LLC celebrated the grand opening of its new World Headquarters on April 27. Located at 3 Beaver Valley Road in Wilmington, Del., USA, the headquarters will currently accommodate approximately 120 employees supporting a variety of corporate functions for the specialty chemicals company, which was previously known as Ashland Water Technologies. Space for additional expansion has been allocated.
Following the opening of its European headquarters last fall in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, the opening of the world headquarters is one more step in a series of actions that the young company has taken since it was acquired by a fund managed by private investment firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) on Aug. 1. In addition to the office openings, Solenis recently acquired Clearwater Specialty Chemicals in North America as well as a paper chemical business from CBC in India.
"It has been an exceptionally busy time as we continue to build this business inside and out," said John Panichella, president and CEO. "The new headquarters will further enhance the Solenis corporate identity and culture that we are working hard to develop around the world. As we continue to build and strengthen our organization, we will continue to rely on our proven leadership, industry expertise and market-focused research and development to lead the industry in analyzing and solving water and process challenges and support our customers with innovative products and services, just as we have in the past."
Solenis’ Wilmington Research Center will remain at its current location at 500 Hercules Road in Wilmington.
