Papelera Samseng Orders New GapCon EconSOFT Tissue Machine

South American tissue producer Papelera Samseng S.A. selected GapCon to provide a technologically advanced, high end tissue production facility. The chosen product, Gapcon’s EconSOFTTM Tissue production line, is due to be installed at the company’s Pilar plant province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, where startup is scheduled for the second quarter of 2016.
Papelera Samseng S.A, outlined why it turned to GapCon, noting that "the machine concept developed by GapCon will support us to become more competitive in the marketplace by drastically reducing production costs in comparison with traditional machines. The energy saving aspects alone are hugely significant when striving to remain competitive in today’s crowded marketplace"
The new machine will have a trim of 3.45 meters and a design speed of 2.000 m/min, with a production capacity at 145 metric tpd. Features of the machine include an enhanced EconFLOWTM headbox, allowing the machine to run at higher consistencies, and a steel made yankee dryer EconDRYTM. In addition, the machine boasts GapCon’s innovative EconPRESSTM shoe press concept to maximize dryness and energy savings.
Papelera Samseng S.A. was founded in 1993 and has grown consistently since then to the point that it now enjoys greater growth than its competitors in Argentina over the past decade.
