Sappi to Raise European Coated Fine, Mechanical Paper Prices

 

Sappi, Johannesburg, South Africa, announced this past week that continuously rising input costs and, consequently, declining profit margins have made corrective pricing measures inevitable as Sappi Europe’s (Brussels, Belgium) business is unsustainable at current price levels. 

Sappi Europe thus will increase prices by 8% for all European coated fine and coated mechanical reels business, effective July 1. The timing and extent of a price rise for coated fine paper sheets will be announced separately. Customers will be informed by sales managers who will provide them with any information they may ‎require going forward.
