PaperlinX Ltd., Scoresby, Australia, recently announced that (with immediate effect) Joost Smallenbroek, who is based in the Netherlands, will no longer hold the position of CFO of the company. Due to the changes currently occurring in the PaperlinX business in the U.K., the Benelux, and across the European region, the CFO position is no longer required to be based in continental Europe.
"I would like to thank Joost for his efforts at PaperlinX," remarked Andy Preece, managing director and CEO of PaperlinX
The PaperlinX Board of Directors said that Wayne Johnston started his role as CFO at the beginning of the month. Johnston joined PaperlinX in 2009. In this period, he has performed a number of senior finance roles. Prior to this appointment, he was deputy CFO and executive GM of corporate services. Prior to joining PaperlinX, he had a long career at Symbion Health Ltd. (formerly Mayne Group Ltd.) where he occupied a number of both commercial and corporate finance roles.
Preece commented on this appointment as well, saying that "the board is extremely pleased that Wayne has accepted the role of CFO and is looking forward to working closely with him".
The CFO role will now be permanently based in Melbourne, Australia.
