U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Decrease Slightly in September

U.S kraft paper shipments totaled 136,600 tons in September of this year, 1.5% lower than in September 2014, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) September 2015 Kraft Paper Report released this past week. Bleached kraft paper shipments decreased slightly from 8,700 tons in August 2015 to 8,600 tons in September, while unbleached kraft paper shipments decreased from 134,900 tons to 128,000 tons.
Overall, year-to-date shipments to September 2015 were 1.5% higher than the same period in 2014. Total month-end inventories decreased to 72,600 tons.
