Ahlstrom Increases Price for Specialty Nonwoven Materials

Ahlstrom, Finland, this week announced price increases for the specialty nonwoven materials produced by the company’s Building and Energy business area to ensure sustainable financial performance of the business unit. The price increase of 7% will be implemented on Jan. 1, 2016.
Specialty nonwoven materials are mainly used in building, furniture, hygiene, wound care, and apparel applications.
Ahlstrom's Building and Energy business area products are used in a variety of applications including wallcoverings, floorings, building panels, composite reinforcements, automotive interiors, apparel, fabric care, and wound care. The Building and Energy business area has production sites in six countries.
