TAPPI Industry Career Center: Rayonier Advanced Materials Seeks Machines and Finishing Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor, Machines and Finishing leads and manages the manufacturing operations for a designated shift in the Machines Finishing and Warehouse department to optimize mill performance, meet customer requirements, and achieve mill objectives. Areas of responsibility include three machines and three finishing lines with packaging and warehousing. Scope covers all aspects of ongoing shift operations including safety and housekeeping, quality, production, environmental control, equipment repair and reliability, cost control, chemical and raw material usage, and people management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial technology.
- 3-5 years of experience in a bleached pulp and paper facility.
- Solid knowledge of machines and finishing manufacturing operations, systems, and best practices.
- General knowledge of supervisory skills, quality control, environmental management, safety practices, and equipment maintenance.
