U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Decline

According to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) September 2015 Kraft Paper Report released this past week, total U.S. kraft paper shipments were 136,600 tons, 1.5% lower than in September 2014. Bleached kraft paper shipments decreased slightly from 8,700 tons in August 2015 to 8,600 tons, while unbleached kraft paper decreased from 134,900 tons to 128,000 tons.
Overall, year-to-date shipments up to September 2015 were 1.5% higher compared with the same period in 2014. Total month-end inventories decreased to 72,600 tons.
