2015 Kraft Paper Shipment by U.S. Producers a Mixed Bag

December 2015 U.S. kraft paper shipments weighed in at 9,900 tons, a 7.7% decrease from December 2014. Bleached kraft paper shipments increased from 6,800 tons in November, a 7.5% increase, while unbleached kraft paper was recorded as having decreased from 123,600 tons to 122,400 tons, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) December 2015 Kraft Statistics Report published this past week.
Total kraft paper shipments shipments in 2015 were 1.3% higher than in 2014. Total month-end inventories decreased to 70,600 tons.
