P&P Output in Finland Increased by 0.2% in 2015

The Finnish Forest Industries Federation (FFIF) reported earlier this week that pulp and paper industry production grew 0.2% in 2015.
According to the FIFF:
- Pulp production increased by 1.7% in 2015 to a total of 7.1 million metric tons. The growth accelerated in the fourth quarter, when output increased by 4%, reaching 1.9 million metric tons
- Paper production fell 2.6% to 7.3 million metric tons. Fourth quarter output was 2.3% lower than in the same period of 2014, totaling 1.8 million metric tons
- Paperboard production was up 3.6% to 3.1 million metric tons in 2015. In the fourth quarter of this past year, the product output reached 810,000 metric tons, representing 6.6% growth y/y.
Softwood production in Finland decreased by 2.7% in 2015.
