Zanders Re-Launches Silver Digital Line of Papers

Zanders, Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, a manufacturer of high-quality specialty papers and boards, has relaunched its Silver digital range. Silver digital is a two-side, double-coated paper and board, especially designed for toner-based digital printing, and available in both gloss and matte finishes.

 

"With the boom in digital printing, for short runs, variable content, special promotions, and packaging, it was time for us to remind everyone about the benefits of Silver digital—one of the first ranges to be developed for digital print rather than adapted from an existing grade," explains John Tucker, managing director of Zanders. "Together with Chromolux digital for the premium market, Zanders now offers a product suitable for every digital print application."

 

Silver digital enables brilliant, clear-cut color reproduction on front and back and is available from 115 to 350 gsm. It has sharp toner adhesion, is fast drying, and is suitable for many applications, including brochures, displays, cards, and packaging, and is recommended for photo albums.

 

It is HP Indigo certificated for HP Indigo liquid toner machines, as well as being approved for dry-toner presses from Konica Minolta, Xeikon, and Xerox. The Silver digital range is made in Germany to the highest manufacturing standards, and uses only FSC-certified and sustainable pulp.

Zanders GmbH is a German manufacturer of high-quality specialty papers and boards developed especially for labels, packaging, and graphical applications. Founded by Johann Wilhelm Zanders in Bergisch Gladbach in 1829, the company still operates the Gohrsmühle paper mill there today with around 480 employees. Its range encompasses high-gloss finished label papers and premium board grades forming part of the traditional Chromolux brand — one of the world’s leading brands of paper — as well as the Zanlabel brand which has been supplementing its portfolio as a cost-effective solution since 2014.
