Containerboard Production in the U.S. Edges Downward in March

Containerboard production in the U.S. during March 2016 was 1.1% lower than March 2015, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) March 2016 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report circulated this week. The month-over-month average daily production compared with February 2016 was 2.6% lower.
The containerboard operating rate for March decreased to 94.4% and the year-to-date operating rate of 94.9% was 0.6 percentage points lower compared with the same period in 2015.
