IP Names Barr New Orange, Texas, Containerboard Mill Manager

 

International Paper (IP), Memphis, Tenn., USA, announced this past Tuesday (May 17) that Edward "Ed" Barr has been named mill manager of the company's Orange, Tex., containerboard mill. He will assume overall leadership responsibility for the facility.

 

Barr is a 26-year veteran of IP. Since joining the IP Global Technology organization in 1990, he has held a variety of leadership positions in multiple facilities in Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Tennessee, including serving as director of manufacturing excellence from 2007-2012.

 

"My family and I are looking forward to relocating to the area and learning more about the people and the community," said Barr. "We have more than 400 dedicated team members working at our Orange mill and I look forward to further building on the strong foundation already in place." 

Most recently, Barr was the operations manager at the company's Augusta, Ga., coated paperboard mill.
