Pratt Display (Conyers, Ga., USA) announced this past week it is continuing its expansion with the purchase of a fulfillment business from Ohio-based Quality Associates. Pratt Display specializes in sustainably sourced point-of-purchase displays.
The deal includes a full service stand-alone contract packing operation in West Chester, Ohio, three separate in-plant business operations for St. Bernard Soap Co., and The J.M. Smucker Co. in Ohio, and an additional in-Distribution Center operation in Riverside, Md. that provides fulfillment for Procter and Gamble.
The acquisition follows the greenfielding and opening last spring by Pratt Display of a 450,000 sq.-ft. operation in Walton, Ky., which provides contract packing, sophisticated pick and pack, and national distribution for consumer product clients.
In addition to these moves, the division also tripled capacity at its Hebron, Ky., display manufacturing plant during the past year.
"This acquisition is aligned with our five-year strategic plan that includes growing our business through value added services such as contract manufacturing to provide our customers with an end-to-end solution," said Chairman Anthony Pratt. "It solidifies our position in the market as one of the three largest providers of turnkey services, extends our national footprint, and further strengthens our participation in broader segments of the POP industry," Pratt added.
Pratt Display now conducts contract packing operations in eight locations around the country.
Quality Associates has been a leader within the contract manufacturing industry for many years. The company was founded in 1987 and employs more than 200 people.
