With a common goal of helping the mechanical pulping industry develop new and improved mechanical pulping methods, better mill optimization, and new energy reduction options to stay competitive, four industry associations have partnered to produce a global conference that allows industry professionals and experts to gather and share information, discuss critical issues, and explore new technologies.
These organizations include TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry, located in the USA), PI (Paper Engineers Association located in Finland), PAPTAC (Pulp and Paper Technical Association located in Canada), and ABTCP (Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association located in Brazil). Together they sponsor the International Mechanical Pulping Conference (IMPC).
Every two years, one partner hosts IMPC in their country. This year, TAPPI is proud to be the host of IMPC 2016 on September 26-28 in Jacksonville, Fla., USA.
