UPM Paper ENA Updates Organizational Structure

UPM Paper ENA, a division of UPM (Helsinki, Finland) will update its organizational structure in a similar style as adopted by UPM Raflatac this past week (and reported in the September 8 edition of OTW). The new model for Paper ENA consists of two strategic business units (SBUs) with revised customer focus, product ownership, and asset allocation.
The new SBUs are called News & Retail (N&R) and Magazines, Merchants & Office (MM&O).
The following UPM Paper ENA Management Team appointments are now valid as of today (September 15):
- Anu Ahola has been appointed SVP of the N&R unit
- Ruud van den Berg has been appointed SVP of the MM&O unit.
Christian Thaler (VP, Business Control), Olli Heikkilä (ViP, Business Processes and Solutions) and Daniel Schwab (VP, Human Resources) will continue in their current roles. All of the management team members report to Winfried Schaur, EVP, UPM Paper ENA.
UPM Paper ENA produces magazine papers, newsprint, and fine papers for a wide range of end uses in 17 paper mills in Europe and the U.S. The main customers are publishers, catalogers, retailers, printers, and merchants.
