Containerboard Output by U.S Producers Mixed in September

U.S. containerboard production was 2% higher in September 2016 that in September 2015, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) 2016 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report issued this past week. The month-over-month average daily production compared with August 2016 was 1.4% lower.
The containerboard operating rate for September increased to 97.4%, while the year-to-date operating rate of 95% was 1 percentage point lower compared with year-to-date 2015.
