In the Spotlight: Josh’ Reich’s Road Less Travelled

 

For Young Professional (YP) Chair Josh Reich, joining TAPPI was pretty much a no-brainer. "If you are a YP in the pulp and paper industry looking to better yourself personally and professionally, then TAPPI membership is for you," he said.

Interestingly, Josh didn’t set out to start his career in this industry. It was thanks to a successful summer job between semesters inventorying and organizing parts for the corrugator at Ohio Packaging (a sheet feeder within the Greif CorrChoice family) that got him started down that path. After the summer job, he applied and was accepted to a sales internship, again with Ohio Packaging, which ultimately led to a permanent position as a Commercial Excellence Business Analyst. Today, Josh serves as a Sales and Customer Service Manager in Greif’s GreenGuard Coating Division.

Training and networking are two of the areas where Josh feels TAPPI membership has greatly benefited his company and his career. But he also says that a new feature on the TAPPI website, TAPPI Connect, is fast becoming a vital resource. "Writing on the discussion boards, reading posts, and being able to upload files are timely and effective ways to communicate and collaborate."
