Vonco Products, Lake Villa, Ill., USA, a producer of high-performance flexible packaging products, this week announced that it has created a new division—LiquaLoc Flexibles—designed specifically to focus on the liquid-tight packaging market.

With more than 60 years of experience in materials, bag and pouch design, seals, closures, and fitments, Vonco created LiquaLoc as a way to bring its liquid-tight packaging experience, proprietary processes, and manufacturing expertise to a broader audience. LiquaLoc's dedicated team of sales, operations, and engineering professionals brings decades of industry service and a deep understanding of the challenges product owners and managers face.

Creating liquid-tight packaging is a strong part of Vonco's history, having pioneered the VonSeal® 95 kPa liquid-tight specimen shipping bag more than 15 years ago.

"Flexible packaging offers unmatched versatility for package design and performance, and we have extensive experience in developing unique flexible solutions," said Tim Morgan, partner and VP of sales and marketing at Vonco Products. "With the Launch of LiquaLoc Flexibles, we've got an opportunity to focus on this rapidly evolving market segment and leverage our engineering and material knowledge to help our customers gain a competitive edge with their packaging."

Whether used in applications for food and beverage, industrial or household chemicals, or health and beauty products, liquid-tight packaging relies on the integrity of the packaging material, sealing techniques and the closure/fitment interface to protect the contents from contamination or escape—every time, without fail.

The launch of LiquaLoc Flexibles also kicked off a series of capital investments designed to expand Vonco's capabilities and capacity in the liquid-tight packaging market. To enhance current production, a custom-built, environmentally controlled room has been constructed inside of the Lake Villa facility to house a new, state-of-the-art, high-speed pouch manufacturing line.

In addition, a ceremony attended by Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch was held on Oct. 27, 2016, in Salem, Wis., to celebrate breaking ground on a brand new facility that will be the home of Vonco Products and its LiquaLoc division in 2017.
